What Is Carryover Fluency? Carryover fluency is improved speech after a stuttering treatment ends. A study of nine adult stutterers found that using our School DAF reduced stuttering about 70%, without therapy. The subjects then used the devices thirty minutes per day for three months. No statistically significant reduction in effectiveness was found when the subjects wore the devices. When the subjects were tested without the devices they had 55% less stuttering. Another study found similar carryover fluency one year after using the School DAF. |
